Vocalist. educator. Band Leader.

Kira leads her group the Ktet with a confident air and captivates her listeners with catchy arrangements and improvisation. She writes fresh, contemporary jazz arrangements of Broadway classics; from composers such as Sondheim, Galt Macdermot etc. Kira received her undergraduate degree (BM in Jazz Voice) at the Purchase College Conservatory of Music where she was awarded the prestigious Ella Fitzgerald Scholarship. During her time at Purchase College she continued to play her first instrument the Trombone, and has performed at New York Jazz venues including the Blue Note, and Birdland Jazz Club. Kira Currently resides in the Dallas - Fort Worth area where she received a Masters Degree in Jazz Voice at The University of North Texas. There she studied with Rosana Eckert and was the 2021 - 2022 vocalist with the grammy nominated One O’Clock Lab Band.
